⚠️ Ledger Live Login – What NOT to Do

Many new users misunderstand how Ledger Live Login works, often expecting a typical web-based login like a bank or exchange. This is incorrect. Ledger does not offer any online login through usernames or passwords. If you find a website asking for your email or 24-word recovery phrase, it’s almost certainly a phishing scam.

Ledger Live only works when paired with a Ledger hardware wallet (Nano S Plus, Nano X, etc.) that is physically connected to your computer or smartphone. Without the device, you cannot access or manage your crypto assets. Some users also wrongly believe they can log in just by opening the app, but you must confirm actions directly on the device.

A major risk is entering your recovery phrase online—this is a guaranteed way to lose your funds. Ledger will never ask for it, not via websites, emails, or calls.

Avoid using Ledger on public or infected devices, and never download Ledger Live from third-party sites. Always visit ledger.com/start.
